Elijah was the same kind of person as we are. He prayed earnestly that there would be no rain, and no rain fell on the land for three and a half years.
We must pray earnestly at all time because the world we live in is a battle ground. For in as much as the devil does not rest, so also must a Christian keep open a constant communication line between him or her and God. Elias was a man like us, but he prayed earnestly for closed heaven, that there should be no rain and it didn’t rain for three and a half years. God had honored his prayer because he prayed fervently with no giving up .Act 16:25, Paul and Silas found themselves in prison and they had no other choice, but to storm heaven with continuous request and God responded to their petition. Sometimes life won’t give you something you want not because you don’t deserve it, but because you deserve more than that. And to earn more than your deserve can only be met through prayer. Prayer opens the door of heaven. Keep praying for what you seek, impossibility and possibility are merely concept of our mind, to God nothing is impossible.
This is a perilous time, if there is a time in the history of the world to pray, this is it. Pray at will, you do not have to wait for church or fellowship communion, before you pray. Pray anywhere, anytime and anyhow. When prayer goes up, blessings come down. The prayer you offer to God in the dawn of the day will go along way into unlock the door of blessing for the rest of the day, prayer is the key. The bottom line; if your legs can’t take you to prayer places, how do you expect them to carry you to paradise. Please never ever skip a prayer, there are millions in their graves wishing to come back to life only to prostrate to God one more time.
